Product Overview

What is AR+AG Composite Glass?

AR+AG Composite Glass is a premium optical glass product combining both Anti-Reflective (AR) coating and Anti-Glare (AG) chemical etching. By first performing AG chemical etching to create a micro-rough surface structure, followed by depositing multi-layer AR nano-thin films, we achieve the dual effect of <1% visible light reflectance and 15-60% adjustable haze.

Unlike single AR glass or single AG glass, AR+AG composite glass both eliminates mirror reflection and glare in bright light while maintaining high light transmittance (≥92%) and clear display quality, especially suitable for harsh applications like high-end outdoor displays, medical equipment, military & aerospace, aviation instruments, and automotive HUD.

JZJ Glass has over 15 years of specialty glass manufacturing experience, providing professional full-process one-stop services including AR+AG composite treatment, CNC precision cutting, and chemical tempering.

Core Features

Why Choose JZJ AR+AG Composite Glass?

Anti-Reflective + Anti-Glare dual functions, six advantages providing your products with clear, comfortable, and reliable display experience.

Ultra-Low Reflection

Visible light reflectance <1%, dramatically reducing ambient light reflection and eliminating mirror glare in bright environments for crystal-clear outdoor displays.

Anti-Glare Effect

Chemically etched AG treatment with haze adjustable from 15-60%, UGR <19, eliminating glare interference in strong light.

High Transmittance

Light transmittance ≥92%, maintaining display brightness with vibrant and clear visuals without compromising display quality.

Hybrid Process

Combined etching + multi-layer nano-thin film deposition process, achieving both AR and AG dual functions with superior performance.

Durable & Scratch-Resistant

Bulk structure + multi-layer coating, long service life, will not peel off from wiping or friction, remaining like new after long-term use.

Custom Fabrication

Full-process support including CNC precision cutting, drilling, silk-screen printing, and tempering, custom made to drawings and samples to meet diverse needs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about AR+AG composite glass specifications, processing, and customization.

Single AR glass reduces reflectance through multi-layer coatings but does not provide anti-glare. Single AG glass provides anti-glare through chemical etching but has higher reflectance. AR+AG composite glass combines both processes, achieving both <1% ultra-low reflectance and 15-60% adjustable anti-glare haze, ideal for high-end outdoor display applications.
AR+AG composite glass has light transmittance ≥92%, higher than single AG glass, effectively maintaining display brightness and color performance with vibrant and clear visuals.
Lower haze provides clearer visuals but slightly weaker anti-glare effect; higher haze provides stronger anti-glare effect but slightly reduced clarity. Recommendations based on application: 15-30% for general outdoor displays, 30-60% for strong glare environments. We can provide samples for your testing and selection.
Yes. We offer both physical tempering and chemical tempering. Physical tempering is suitable for thicknesses above 3mm, while chemical tempering is suitable for thin glass from 0.4-3mm. AR+AG performance is not affected after tempering, and glass strength increases by 5-10 times.
Sample orders have no MOQ requirements and we can provide A4 size samples for testing. Production order MOQ is 100 pieces (depending on specifications). Typical lead times: samples 5-7 business days, production 10-20 business days (depending on quantity and process complexity).

Application Guide

Application Guide: When to Use & When Not to

Helping you choose the right glass type for your specific application — avoiding costly mismatches.

Ideal Applications

Outdoor Digital Signage
AR reduces reflection for sunlight readability, AG diffuses remaining glare for uniform matte appearance
Museum Display Cases
Anti-reflective + anti-glare eliminates both mirror reflections and hot-spots from spot lighting
Automotive Head-Up Displays
Composite AR+AG treatment optimizes virtual image clarity while suppressing ambient light reflection
Industrial Outdoor Monitors
Double treatment ensures readability in both direct sun and overcast conditions without color distortion
Premium Retail Display Windows
Shoppers see products clearly without their own reflection, enhancing engagement and conversion

Not Recommended For

Applications Needing Mirror Effect
AR+AG eliminates reflections by design — if mirror-like appearance is desired, use standard clear glass
Laser Optical Cavities
AG surface scattering is incompatible with laser cavity mirrors that need specular reflection; use pure AR glass
Budget Projects Without Glare Issues
AR+AG costs more than single treatment; if only reflection or only glare is a problem, choose the appropriate single coating
