Process Overview

Permanent Glass Graphics & Decoration

Silk screen printing applies ceramic inks through precision mesh screens, then fuses into glass during tempering — creating permanently bonded graphics that cannot scratch, fade, or peel. Essential for cover glass (black borders), automotive glass (defroster lines), appliance panels (control graphics), and decorative glass.

We operate Class 100K clean room printing lines with ±0.05mm registration accuracy. High-temperature ceramic inks (fired at 600-700°C) or UV-cured inks for chemically strengthened glass.

FAQ

Silk Screen Printing Questions

We use two primary ink types: high-temperature ceramic inks (fired at 600-700°C during tempering) and UV-cured inks (for chemically strengthened glass). Ceramic inks form a permanent bond with the glass and offer exceptional durability, scratch resistance, and weather resistance — ideal for architectural and automotive applications. UV-cured inks cure at lower temperatures, preserving the compressive stress layer in chemically strengthened glass while still providing excellent adhesion and durability.
Our precision screen printing equipment achieves ±0.05mm registration accuracy between colors. For applications requiring IR windows and black borders, we maintain tight tolerances to ensure sensor performance and optical alignment. We use automated vision alignment systems for critical applications, and all printing is performed in Class 100K clean rooms to prevent dust and particle contamination during the printing process.
Yes. We specialize in printing IR-transparent (infrared-transmitting) windows using special inks that allow infrared light to pass while blocking visible light. These are essential for proximity sensors, ambient light sensors, and facial recognition systems in smartphones, tablets, and automotive displays. We can achieve precise IR transmission spectra matching your sensor requirements, with visible light OD (optical density) >4 while maintaining >85% IR transmittance at specified wavelengths.
We can silk screen print on glass thicknesses from 0.3mm ultra-thin up to 19mm thick glass. Maximum panel size for printing is 1500×2000mm. For flexible volume production, we operate multiple semi-automatic and fully automatic printing lines, with inline drying and quality inspection stations to ensure consistent print quality across production runs from prototypes to high-volume manufacturing.
Yes. We have specialized equipment for printing on curved and bent glass, including 2.5D and 3D shaped glass. For 2.5D glass with curved edges, we use specially designed screens and squeegees to ensure uniform ink deposition on both flat and curved surfaces. For fully 3D curved glass, we can use pad printing or conformal screen printing techniques depending on the geometry and application requirements.
